The result I was hoping for, yay!

I do not frequently use a curling iron, rare actually, so lesson learned to wear sleeves when using one. My lack of experience resulted in a burn on my shoulder. It blistered, and I did not take note to care for it properly until I felt it be popped/opened later that morning. I knew I was in trouble for a scar since the blister opened. I had experienced a popped burn blister years ago and used Mederma, but that did nothing for it. I researched, found Scar Smart, and took a chance. I tried their Scar Smart sheets too, but I found their gel more practical for where the popped blister was located since I carry bags on my shoulders daily and that was not conducive for the sheets. I waited till the popped burn blister was dry, then I followed the directions every day from May 4th (the first picture) until beginning of August. I also kept the scar covered or under sunscreen when I was outside. I am so happy with the results! I reduced to using the gel once a day, every other day, in August, but I'm going to start back up 2 times a day to see if it can go lighter even more. I highly, highly recommend this product. And to wear sleeves when using a curling iron!

Scars Begone

After multiple surgeries I've tried a number of different scar rejuvenation gels, pads, creams, etc. Thus far this one has no scent to speak of (which I like), doesn't itch, smooths the scar and surrounding area, makes the skin softer, and easy to use. Normally silicone based products and adhesives cause a skin reaction for me. Again, thus far all good. I can recommend this item.

Smooth

This goes on smoothly and caused no irritation. It will take some time before my scar gets lighter, but it has changed since I started using this. I am using a combination of the silicone sheets with topical application.

Medical grade

This scar smart silicone scar gel is clinically tested. It is the same item that my daughters hand therapist used to help break up the scar tissue after her hand surgery. This works to lessen the appearance of scars.

It'll be a while before I know if it works.

I have a lot of scars from an ATV accident a few years ago, so I thought I'd give this a try. The instructions say it takes three to six months for old scars, so it will be a while before I know.
It's very slippery and takes a while to massage in.
It does not wash out of clothes too well, so be careful.

Awesome for surgeries!

I got this form my Mother In Law, who is in a rehab because of an artery that blew up in her stomach. She currently even has a hole in her belly that is draining. She has been cut from top to bottom of her stomach area. She currently cannot use this until the hole heals. She was thrilled when I brought this to her. I will update you with more results as soon as she is able to use it.

Truly effective

I've been using this on my daughter on a scratch scar, and it's a wonderfully effective treatment. Though a little bit busier than other products to apply, I love the results and the skin care it provides. Definitely one of the better treatments we have tried.

Easy to use

This scar gel is pretty easy to use. It goes on easy and doesn’t cause irritation to the skin. I rub an adequate amount in the affected area and sometimes cover it with a bandage to help keep it from being rubbed off on clothing or bedsheets. It’s a must have in the medical box in my home.

Works

This scar gel is fairly effective at reducing the size and color in new scars. I recently had surgery on my knee and was left with a sizeable scar to contend with.

I prefer this gel to the strips because the strips lose adhesion easily whereas this can be used under a bandage or on its own effectively.

It is a thick, white gel that applies smoothly and is recommended to leave on for up to 12 hours. I put it on before bed and found after several weeks it did decrease the size and sight of the scar. It also made the incision scar much softer and malleable.

Overall I recommend this product.

For skin areas that get stretched

My teen daughter has several large scars on her elbow from surgery and it really bothered her. She started using this 2 weeks ago along with the silicon sheets made by the same company, making sure they are covered up completely. She alternates between the gel and the sheets.

She told me that by using it 24/7, her scars are getting softer and it seems to be having some effect! They are not going away but with massages and this product, there might be possible to reduce the bumps. This is very promising and she will keep using it along with their silicon sheet product.

Love it!!

So far I am loving this scar smart silicone scar treatment. It arrived quickly and well packaged. It has no discernible odor. The consistency is a thick gel like material and you apply it to your scar several times a day and overtime the scar is supposed to lighten and become less noticeable. So far it’s doing great I’ve only been using it about a week and I can see that my scar on my arm is a little bit lighter than it was a week ago. I have had no negative reactions and so far it’s working great!

scar gel

this is my first scar gel that i've tried and so far i'm happy with it. it does take a long time seemingly for results. for me, i have a huge abdominal scar from multiple cancer related surgeries and this scar gel somewhat boosts my confidence level about my body and where the scar is located at. im hoping for full on results in just a few months but for now i'm enjoying the journey with this gel

Not a quick fix but it's working

I have some surgical incisions from last year that have formed keloids. This is typical of my skin, I was expecting it, but my surgeon said, no that's not going to happen. When somebody knows their skin, why say that. This gel is not the first product I've used on these scars, but this is the one that seems to be making a difference for me. This gel has made the discoloration lighter, and flattened out the keloid a bit. This is something that will need to be used for a while, but if I can remember to apply it at least three times a day, it's making a difference. The keloid is also less itchy, which is a plus.

Takes a while to massage in, but really softens the skin, so may be working Stars⭐

I've been having a lot of success using the silicone sheets, so I thought I would try this silicone scar gel. I got attacked by a dog a couple of years ago and have several scars on my face. Some are over and right under my eyebrow, about an inch below my eye, and several in different places on my cheek. It takes me a while to massage it into each one, and sometimes I forget to even use it, but I can still already see a bit of a difference. It's really starting to soften the skin in and around the scars, which gives me hope that, overtime, they will be less and less noticeable, or even gone completely. I love the scar sheets, but this definitely has a place in my medicine cabinet, as well. I definitely recommend it.

Absorbs well

I had a bad fall and scraped my elbows, knuckles and knees. I got this to see if it would help prevent any scarring since I tend to heal slowly. I used this silicone gel on my knuckles, which had a pretty deep cut. I began using this silicone a few days after the fall. It is rather thick and a little goes a long way. It absorbed pretty well into the skin. It really helped to prevent major scarring. I used the silicone gel for several months and the scarring is not too bad.

Great to alternate with the silicone sheets.

I'm using this gel alongside the silicone patches from the same brand. The gel is easy to apply and feels fine. It's perfectly clear, so it doesn't leave a mess.

I'm using the patches when I'm at home, and when I'm out and about (or exercising), I use the gel (I keep in my purse for reapplying several times).

I'm using this on a burn scar on my upper arm and am excited to see the results after a few weeks/months.

Can be effective

Silicone seems to be the gold standard for scar reduction. I find the gel is easier to use than the sheets. The massaging probably adds to reducing scars, as well. The instructions even say that the massaging helps, recommending massaging for 3 - 5 minutes 2 or 3 times a day. This is more effective on new scars, but be sure your doctor says it is okay to use. You want the incision to be closed. It says it is suitable for sensitive skin. The tube is supposed to be a 3 month supply, but that will vary on how big the scar is and how much is needed to cover it, as well as how often it is used.

Results may vary

I tried this product on a few different scars and what I've found out is that it really works best on fresh scars. Old ones it barely touches.

This formula is not as easy to use as some others, but it does work well on recent scars (a month old) vs. one on my arm I have been trying for years to get rid of.

Easy and comfortable to hold and use!

We ordered this Scar smart gel for our daughter as she has had these scars for a long time and we needed to try a new gel. Our daughter says she likes that the gel and the sheets are pretty easy to be applied and removed after about 12 hours and she started applying them for the last 2+ weeks and she says that she followed the instructions and the directions on the use. Since she has been using them, no changes so far; though she has only just started to use the gel. Our daughter does say that she intends to continue to follow the recommendations and use the get for the next few months as her burn scars are old scars. I would update this review if any changes with her scars from her use of this silicone gel.

Requires often application

This is recommended to be used 2-3 times a day with massages that last about 5min. If you work outside home, this might be challenging and even worst to have to apply it at work with jeans. If it'd be something that we have to apply once a day at nighttime it might be much better and convenient. Regarding its functionality, I'm using it in an old scar, so I haven't notice such great improvement, but it might take months before it really does its work but at least is a gel that does not create me being uncomforted when applying it and leave the area with a sense of freshness.

Scar cream seems to be working

I’ve been using this cream on a surgical scar for three weeks. It seems to be helping break down the scar tissue causing the scar to lay more flat. The texture is smoother as well. The cream goes on easily and a dries clear without any stickiness.

This product really works

I've tried several scar treatments, most much more expensive. Scar Smart is the first treatment that worked. i used it for two weeks before I began to notice improvement, then it was fairly quick. In three weeks the scars from my 2019 surgery were noticeably better.
