These scar sheets are very easy to use.
The sheets are also easy to cut into smaller pieces for smaller scars.
The sheets are gentle on my skin and doesn’t irritate the skin.
My scar is starting to fade away and these scar sheets seem to be very effective.
Love it!!!!
These scar sheets are well made and good quality. They stay in place very well. They are easy to use and doesn’t irritate my skin. I can put them on and forget I’m wearing them. I’m looking forward to seeing great results!
My teen daughter has several large scars on her elbow from surgery and it really bothered her. She started using this 2 weeks ago by cutting the sheets up into small pieces and making sure they are covered up completely. She did so because the elbow area moves and this is a good way to prevent it from stretching.
She told me that by using it 24/7, her scars are getting softer and it seems to be having some effect! They are not going away but with massages and this product, there might be possible to reduce the bumps. This is very promising and she will keep using it along with their gel product.
These scar sheets can wind up being somewhat expensive depending on scar size and use even though they do work as do all other scar sheets I tried previously. For the current price of $21.95 ($24.95 minus $3), there are 10 small (3.5"×1.5") silicone scar sheets in this one box. Each sheet can be cut down further or used whole as is.
The claim is that there is approximately a five month-supply in this box. It can only be considered five months if one is using one scar sheet for two weeks, then another for two more weeks, etc. until the box is finished. Each scar sheet is only good for two weeks, hence there is a 20-week supply in the box (2 weeks x 10 sheets which equals 5 months since there are 4 weeks per month.)
I used this on two large scars I have. The idea is to work up to wearing these for 24 hours by first starting to wear them for four hours and then increasing the time each day. Since I have been applying scar sheets for a while now, I applied the sheets to my scar and wore them 12 hours a day with a short time off in-between. I then rinse the sheets, let them dry, and reapplied a few hours later starting the cycle again. Although these sheets can be re-applied, each sheet only lasted me two days before I was done with the entire box in 10 days because they get tacky and sometimes curl up on itself during the temporary removal process. This is typical of all scar sheets I tried and not just this one.
This, as well as other silicone sheets, does smooth my scars and takes away the raised appearance. This is the 10th scar product I tried and they all work. At the current price, it would cost me a small fortune for a true five-month supply. On a good note, these scar sheets are easier to work with because they are small and have a lesser tendency to be destroyed on the first day. Most of the scar sheets I used previously, I only got one 24-hour use out of. However, if one has very small scars, these sheets can be very effective and a reasonable deal.
In summary, these work but do not believe the claims that this is a five-month supply as it depends on the size of the scar and the ability to remove the sheet without any damage so that each sheet can be reused repeatedly for two weeks and this is highly unlikely. Since I tried so many, I found that these
I have this scar on my butt cheeks from my battle with a dry erase white board (don't ask). I have applied neosporin, Mederna, Kelo-cote which helped alleviate the clear scar line but I also have these round bumps that doesn't seem to go away. Because of the placement of my wound, it's difficult to apply anything without clothing removing the ointment and so having the ability to leave something on during the day was very appealing to me.
The order of the scar sheet comes with 10 sheets which is a 5-month supply. The sheets are made of these cool gel/silicone material and is textured. It reminds me of those gel salon pas I've used for sore muscle pain. The gel part also acts as the adhesive so it sticks on without any other material. I cut the sheets into three because my scar is not as large as the sheet. I've left the sheet I noticed after one use that the bumps felt like they've flattened a little. I can't wait to see what continuous use through out the months would do for the scar. Also, I have sensitive skin but I have not had any allergic reaction to the product.
This works pretty good. The photo on the left is after 3 weeks of using the patch. The one on the right is about one week after surgery, the stitches are still in. I am pretty pleased with how it is working. I am going to continue to use it for a few more weeks and I believe it will continue to disappear. Several people have commented on how good it looks.
A dermatologist recommended this product to me. I fractured my right wrist a year and a half ago and surgery was intensive. I am right handed so my scar is so obvious every time I reach out. First thing I really like about this product is that the strip is skin toned and odor free. The first picture on the left is the "before" picture. Notice the discoloration of my hypertrophic scar. The third picture is after 2 days of using the ScarSmart strips. The 4th picture is after 4 days of continued use. The fine lines of the scar have disappeared and the main scar is not so visible like in the first picture. I believe that with continued use, the whole scar will disappear. The product is true to its word. I highly recommend!
i recommend this
These scar sheets are very similar to the exact same scar sheets that my daughter’s hand therapist used after her hand surgery to help minimize and eliminate scarring from her surgery site. The sheets can be cut into the shape or size that you need.
These are great. I am using these for my scars after my breast reduction and they are helping my scars! I like that they are big sheets and you can cut them to your needs. That made it much more helpful for me.
I'm a fairly scarred up guy due to an adrenaline addition in my youth. Thought I'd give these a try. My scars aren't exactly new, so I probably won't see results for months (says it can take up to six). Easy enough to use and no odor. Time will tell.
This scar sheets are much more surprising than I thought. Much more convenient to use these sheets rather than gel/creams. I use this for a scar on my leg and it's super helpful when I wear pants. I just put one sheet on and then my pants on top without worrying of it messing things up. Have noticed slightly improvement and will keep using them until I see no further change as there's just so much that this type of things can do to reduce cars visibility (:
Very easy to use and sticks pretty good. I wrap the sheet over with a binder. The sheets are moisturizing and I cut them to size as well.
These Scar Smart Silicone Scar Sheets have been great to have for a recent keloid scar that has appeared after I had a bicycle accident. The scar is on my knee and happens to be extremely itchy. These silicone sheets are easy to apply, and they stay in place even if I get sweaty. They helped to keep my scar moisturized which in turn made it less itchy. Over time, my scar got smaller and looked a lot better. These patches are hard to find in my local drugstore, so I was happy to find this great brand and good value of sheets on Amazon.
Due to a finger injury, I need to use silicone daily. These sheets work great on my finger. They stay in place throughout the night. I have both external and internal scar tissue to battle. These sheets help with both. Easy to use, just peel and stick over the scar.
The days of the dueling scars are passed. Quality surgeon finish. Quality after-care with attention to reduced scaring is much appreciated. Nice adhesion. The moisturized virtually precludes itchy dry scabbing.
Better than advertised.
These are a nice set of scar strips. You do get quite a few in the box. I feel they are more effective on newer, more recent scars than old ones, which I don't feel they had any effect on at all.
this stuff is long enough for a long scar i have so i like them. you can also cut them to size if you have smaller scars so this will last you a bit if you use them for those than the whole thing. unfortunately you have to keep using these for months to see results regardless of brand, so i shop around for whichever is cheapest at the time whenever i need a restock. the only thing is they can vary in how sticky they are and if they’re single use or reusable. it really comes down to your preferences because they mostly are the same in terms of effectiveness in my opinion. these work for my purposes so i don’t have any complaints.
I was skeptical that these silicone scar sheets really did anything, but they do actually work, it's just slow going and takes patience. I've been using them on a new small scar, and slowly the purple color seems to be fading. On the first couple of uses it seemed to really help flatten it out and lighten the color. Some of that may have been natural healing as well but I think these helped speed the process.
The adhesion is pretty good, even when using tiny pieces of it. It's possible to reuse the sheets, but can be difficult if you're not careful to wash them and keep them clean. The most I was able to reuse one so far was twice though before it was a little to dirty to be cleaned off.
Overall I'm pleased that these appear to be helping; I haven't tried on an old scar yet though so I can't speak to that. I think I would buy again if I got a nasty scar I wanted to go away more quickly.
A few years ago, I was attacked by a dog and bitten in the face and have scars above and below my eye and on my cheek. I cut these to fit the scars, and have no problems with them lifting. I make sure to wash those areas before applying to get rid of any oils. I've worn them for at least three days each, washing and drying in between, but I really think I could even wear them longer. They hold very well and I look forward to seeing what results I get after some time. It's only been about a short time, so I don't think that's enough just yet. Because of how well they stick on my face, and the good things I've read about these types of products, I would definitely recommend them.
These sheets stay on well, and the adhesive doesn't seem to bother my skin.
They work as well as a more expensive brand that I've tried. Doesn't do as well on older scars and trauma related discolorations.
I used this on an old scar (over 5 years old) from a pre-cancerous mole removal. The scar is about an inch long and half is white and flat and half of it is raised and red. I cut part of the silicone sheet and placed it over the scar. I've been wearing it 24 hours a day for 5 days now. The silicone sheet hasn't moved. It did get a bit wrinkled, but I've showered with it, exercised with it, used body scrub on it and it hasn't budged. I did pull it off in the shower to see what was going on and stuck it back on with no issues. Both my skin and the sheet was wet (I rinsed off the sheet on both sides). It's been on for another 2 days without any problem. I'm usually very sensitive to adhesives (the area will get red, itch, and scar) but I've had no issues. I'm also impressed with the results. My scar seems a lot flatter. I still feel the bulk of it and it's not perfect, but I'm hopeful that in a couple of weeks or more it will have shown a lot of improvement.
I had a knee replacement this summer, and the lower half of that scar is a nice smooth line, but the upper half of it sort of pulled open and created a sizable scar. I'm not really obsessed with it, but I do periodically remember to massage it and put some product on it.
I like these sheets because you can put them on and sort of forget about it, and that's the best thing for me with my careless ways. Because I will in fact be happier to have less of a scar. It's very comfortable and it helps. An issue is that as I sit/stand, the fabric from my pants moves up and down, and this starts to roll up from the bottom. This can be fixed with adhesive tape, but just the location on my knee of the scar makes it awkward. (I thought knit pants would help, but it doesn't much seem to.)
I did also read about silicone treatments on pubmed and they are recommended medically. My doctor had suggested Vitamin E oil, but I find that messier and like these sheets.
Scar Smart Silicone Scar Sheets are easy to use and easy to cut into the shape needed (although dull scissors won't get the job done). The adhesion isn't great, especially if you cut it into a small patch, but since it's 100% silicone, I guess it is what it is.
I'm using these for a burn scar on my upper arm. These take a few weeks to work, so I don't have results yet, but I'm excited to see the results!
Easy to use with great adhesion. Great product!
